Well, it is August already, the last full month of summer vacations, trips, camping, beach picnics and freedom from school. There is not a lot in the way of holidays and for the most part August is rather dull and boring. So with that in mind I hereby proclaim August to be Humor Month. Put your best foot forward and your thinking caps on and tune up your funny bone. Create, post, pass on and rejoice in a little humor to brighten the month of August and see if we can put a little fun and laughter into everyones lives. Let the chuckles begin.
Houston We Have A Problem - NASA Adds New Sponsors
Due to recent events reported from NASA in an attempt to 'lift the spirits' (literally and figuratively) of future space travelers, Nasa has signed on new sponsors for the Space Shuttle Program.

I can't say that I really blame some of the Astronauts for having a few brews before takeoff. With the track record NASA has had in the past and the need for frequent exterior inspections on the way up and prior to return to ensure the Shuttle will not fall apart you would think they need something to dull the pain. If I were going to fly on the Shuttle I would have a few (bottles) myself before liftoff. Then make sure I had a few more for re-entry. They might want to consider a little Afghan weed for those who don't drink.
As far as the computer problems go (Space Station computer system crash and one sabotaged computer system ready to be delivered) it has been reported that NASA will also be purchasing all Microsoft software in the future. Since the computers don't work anyway they figured if they added software that doesn't work, no one would know the difference.
On a final note, NASA was also looking into the possibility of adding GPS tracking systems to their Astronaut diaper supplies. That way they could tell if they were being used for legitimate purposes by noting if they were traveling in vertical or horizontal high altitude positions rather than low altitude horizontal only when used as support for rival Astronaut stalking.
